· For a regional port authority,
the McCormick Jahncke Group streamlined the purchasing approval process,
systematizing nearly all of the approvals required for high volume,
low value purchases. We recommended a procurement card buying process
and trained a broad range of company employees on the process.
· For three international chemical
manufacturers, we have improved the process of buying international
ocean freight, through global bundling, use of volume incentive contracts
with selected global carriers, and integrated booking and documentation
with reporting on cargo flows and cost savings achieved. In just one
company, the result was a $16 million annual savings in ocean transport
cost.
